Centre Wellington donates $3,000 to Fort McMurray
Centre Wellington has joined the ranks of municipalities donating tax dollars towards Fort McMurray relief efforts.
On May 30, councillors here endorsed the recommendation made at the previous week’s committee of the whole meeting.
Councillors had faced two resolutions requesting municipal support.
Centre Wellington Township decided to donate $3,000 to support the fire disaster relief efforts.
The $3,000 will come from the general capital reserve.
