Centre Wellington council briefs

ELORA - In Centre Wellington there are 10 bridges that have load restrictions.

After review by a professional engineer, the only change to the 2019 load restrictions and closures is that structure 3-E on the 6th Line in former Eramosa Township had its load limit reduced to 5 tonnes from 8 tonnes.

The decision was made at the Dec. 16 council meeting.

Birkholz Drainage Works

Centre Wellington will be collecting a total of $10,638 from affected properties for maintenance and work on the municipal drain.

The amount that each property is required to pay varies by how much it is affected by the drain’s function.

Committee of Adjustment

Fernando Marin has been appointed to the Centre Wellington Committee of Adjustment.

There were seven applications for the position.
