Celebration cancelled
CLIFFORD - Due to COVID-19 protocol precautions, the fourth annual Harriston Superior Monuments Annual Headstone Hunt celebration has been cancelled.
The celebration, set for the Clifford Community Centre on Oct. 24, was to have included a 75th anniversary celebration of the end of the Second World War.
However, the contest continues and cash prizes will be awarded at noon on Oct. 24 at the gazebo in Clifford Celebration Square.
Organizer John McVicar still encourages participants to fill out an entry form, visit all six cemeteries on the contest list, answer all the questions, and return answer sheets to his office at 60 Mill Street in Harriston by 5pm on Oct. 22 to be entered in the draw.
