Sunrise fundraiser - Over 100 guests joined volunteers, staff and riders at Sunrise Therapeutic Riding and Learning Centre for Celebrate Sunrise on June 23. The event set a new record raising over $75,000. The annual event featured musical rides, a lunch by Chef D of Puslinch (the Kitchen Studio by ChefD) and a silent auction.

“Sunrise would like to thank the many individuals and corporations that made this event such a success, particularly harvest sponsor UPI Energy FS and field sponsors Capital Paving Inc., McDonald’s Restaurants of Guelph, Tim Hortons and Vet Alliance,” organizers state.

Sunrise fundraiser - Scarlett Bruce, 6, of Guelph, on Bella was one of four riders in the musical ride that showed how leaders and sidewalkers work with riders.

Proceeds from this event support Sunrise’s therapeutic riding and inclusive recreation programs for children and adults with special needs. Sunrise serves over 100 individuals a week with a wide range of physical, cognitive and behavioural special needs, and is accredited through the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA).
