Celebrate Erin helps food bank
Mayor Lou Maieron estimates the recent Celebrate Erin event helped generate between $10,000 and $15,000 for the local food bank.
Councillor John Brennan agreed.
“It was a great night and in speaking earlier to the CAO I suggested we not only celebrate the success of the event, but perhaps list the sponsors and prizes on the town website as an encouragement to those who made this possible.”
Maieron said there was a bit of a learning process and there is a plan for a debriefing to look at what worked and what could be improved upon.
Councillor Barb Tocher asked that council congratulations be extended to all those who took part in the planning process.
