Catholic schools across Wellington County were closed on Feb. 4 due to OECTA strike

More strikes - All Wellington Catholic District School Board schools were closed on Feb. 4 due to a province-wide full withdrawal of services by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association. In Fergus the teachers were picketing outside of St. Joseph Catholic School.

Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) elementary schools were also closed on Feb. 4 due to Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (ETFO) rotating strikes that have been taking place since Jan. 20. The UGDSB elementary schools were also scheduled to be closed on Feb. 6 due to an ETFO province-wide full withdrawal of services. UGDSB secondary schools were not impacted by any of the strike actions.
