Carly Simon-James Taylor tribute act comes to Fergus Grand Oct. 4

FERGUS – Audiences at the Fergus Grand Theatre will have the opportunity to experience the music, stories and love story behind two of the 1970s’ iconic singer-songwriters: Carly Simon and James Taylor.

This live show celebrates the songs and intertwined lives of Simon and Taylor, bringing their music and story to the stage. 

The production has been touring throughout Ontario and is scheduled to travel to the east coast in 2027.

Audiences can expect to hear some of the duo’s classics, including You’re So Vain, Fire and Rain, Mockingbird, How Sweet It Is, and, of course, Anticipation.

The performance features an ensemble of musicians, including singer-songwriter Daisy Progosh on guitar, piano and vocals; David Skolnick on guitar, piano and vocals; Danny Zaidman on guitar and vocals; Mike Wark on saxophone and flute; Adam Kurgatnikov on bass; and Aaron Spink on drums and vocals.

The show also explores the stories behind the music while revisiting the distinctive sound of an era in popular music.
