BRINK-SYMONS, Irma
Following a brief, brave fight with Cancer, Irma Brink-Symons of Grand Valley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 7 2026. Irma leaves behind in Canada her beloved Han and her three sons, Jordy, Rick and Steffan. Irma also leaves behind both of her parents Joanna and Joseph Symons and a wonderful family and many close friends in The Netherlands, her two cherished sisters Marleen & (Derk), Antonia & (Anne-Willem), her brother in laws Gerko & (Elly) and Frank and nieces and nephews. Irma was born in Bierum, The Netherlands and was raised on the family dairy farm in Midwolda with her two cherished sisters. Irma married Han Brink on July 30, 1999 and they started their wonderful life together. Irma and Han farmed the family dairy farm together in The Netherlands before deciding to immigrate with their 3 sons to Canada in 2017. Their first farm in Canada was in Shakespeare Ontario and then the family moved to Grand Valley in 2021. Irma was a dedicated farmer and loved her calves very much. Her smile and sense of humour will be dearly missed. Irma’s celebration of her wonderful life was held with her in attendance on April 25th. It was an amazing day where she was able to say goodbye to friends and family and “dance” one last time.
