Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace March 13, in her 99th year. Thelma was born June 26, 1924. She was raised by her adoptive parents in Saskatchewan and then moved to Ontario. She married Lorne Boles, settled in Eramosa and had 5 children: Glenn (Glenda), Gary (Nadine), Gerald (Nancy) and June. Thelma had 7 grandchildren (Jo-Anne, Sarah, Stacey, Joshua, Jeremy, Melissa and Nicole), 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband Lorne Boles, second husband Harold French, son Gene, daughter-in-law, Patricia (Glenn) and great-grandson, Jesse. Thelma was well known for her love of music. For more than 25 years, she was the choir and music director at Speedside United Church. More recently, she was an active member of Melville United Church, where she participated in the choir and was involved in the U.C.W. and other ladies’ groups. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating and sewing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great­-great grandmother and will be missed. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
