Blue Bonnet Lassies have busy competition season

Highland Dance – Dancers from the Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland Dance have had a busy spring with competitions. On April 24 dancers competed at the London Western Ontario Highland Dancers Association competition.

In the beginner eight and under 10 years category Maribelle McBroom placed 6th in Sword and Trophy Fling. In the premier 17 years and older, Emma Horsley placed 5th in Earl of Errol. On April 30 dancers competed at the Highland Dancers’ Association of Ontario Spring Indoor Competition. In the beginner nine years McBroom placed 4th in Sword. The first weekend in May brought a double header. On May 7 dancers competed at the Nicola McMaster Memorial Competition. In the beginner seven years and under category, Scarlett Jackson placed 6th in Fling and Sword. In the intermediate category Stewart placed 5th in Fling and Seann Truibhas. 

In the premier category Horsley placed 6th in Sword. On May 8, dancers competed at the Durham Region Highland Dancing AssociationSpring Competition.  In the beginner eight and nine years McBroom placed 4th in Strathspey and Highland Reel. From left: Scarlett Jackson, Gabby Jackson and McBroom.
