Blessings to You Centre makes donation to Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington

Boost for youth – A $10,000 donation to the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington was made recently by the Blessings to You Centre in Palmerston.

Presenting the cheque are Blessings volunteers Katie Baarda, Myrtle Chevalier and Dorothy Noecker. Megan Harron and Bobbi Turner accepted the funds that will support about 75 children and youth from the Minto/Mapleton community. The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington runs four core programs to provide vital opportunities for children and youth to participate, learn and grow to reach their full potential: Adopt-A-Family, Food and Friends, Free to Grow, and a scholarship program.

All proceeds from The Blessings to You Centre (Blessings Thrift and Gift Store) are put back into the community. “By continuing to donate to the Blessings Thrift Store, you are a partner in reaching out to the needs of Palmerston and the surrounding area,” store officials note.
