Biff and Doug

Dear Editor:

The second Back to the Future movie has Hill Valley “open for business”.

Biff, the overweight blonde villain, has unleashed his personal priorities on the town. Gambling is rampant, his friends have unfettered power, environmental regulations don’t exist, taxes aren’t used for the benefit of all, but Biff and his friends are enjoying themselves with drugs and alcohol available at all hours.

The school and the library have been shuttered for good measure, as a collective history and education aren’t good for business. Thankfully for Marty he is able to rectify things, and when he wakes up this dystopian nightmare remains an unpleasant memory. I wish the citizens of Ontario were so lucky.

Remember, Doug Ford was afforded the luxury of running without a platform while employing his own reporter for “exclusives.” Now that he’s made his priorities clear, what are we going to do about it ?

Dave Brown,

Elmira
