Belwood Lodge and Camp prepares for season with spring cleaning
Volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare the camp for its first guests and Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Joseph Racincsky was on hand to receive a campus tour from board chair Cheri “Tigger” Fitzpatrick. The camp faces a major challenge to raise $600,000 to replace an aging septic system by the spring of 2028, and is exploring all sources of funding.Photos by Duncan Hossack

BELWOOD – The sun peeked out from behind grey clouds to greet volunteers who attended the annual Friends of Belwood Lodge Day on May 31. The lodge and camp, located on the shores of Belwood Lake, has been in operation since 1946, and caters specifically to adults with intellectual disabilities.
