Belwood Lions to hold toll for diabetes May 20
Centre Wellington council here in the committee of the whole has given the Belwood and District Lions Club permission to hold a toll road to benefit the Canadian Diabetes Association on May 20.
The toll is scheduled to take place in Belwood on County Road 46 from 8:30am to 4pm.
The club has held the toll for a number of years. Last year, it raised nearly $2,000 for the cause.
As well, council heard, the county roads committee and the county Police Services Board had provided letters of support for the toll road.
Council was unanimous in its approval for the event.
