Bank branch to close
CIBC has announced the Harriston branch will close on Sept. 19. A statement from CIBC indicates accounts will automatically be transferred to the Palmerston branch. The statement also notes clients can use digital options such as telephone and CIBC online for day-to-day banking tasks. CIBC is hosting a community meeting at the Harriston arena on June 6 from 7 to 9pm “to answer questions and discuss alternative banking options.”
