BALCH, Grace (Scholten)
Grace Balch of RR #1 Conn, Ontario passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 as a result of complications from leukemia in her 75th year. Survived by her husband Bill of 43 years, children Andrew and Sheila Balch of Oshawa, Ontario, Ed Balch and Grace Hulleman of Carmen, Manitoba, Christina Balch of RR #1 Conn, Ontario and Allan and Sabrina Balch of Arthur, Ontario, grandchildren Gabriel, Alice and Hazel, of Arthur, Ontario, as well as one brother and two sisters in The Netherlands. Predeceased by an infant brother and an older brother and parents in The Netherlands. Grace was the co-owner of the Monck General Store and Monck Repair Shop with husband Bill for 36 years. A private live-streamed family service was held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10:00am from the Grand Valley Canadian Reformed Church, followed by a private interment at Grand Valley Union Cemetery. Also, a heartfelt thank you to staff of Guelph General Hospital, 5 east and 5 west, and the ICU who went above and beyond the call of duty for the superb care and compassion for our wife and mother.
