Ashley Fox seeking Liberal nomination
PERTH-WELLINGTON - The nomination contest for provincial Liberal party candidate appears headed for acclamation.
Minto resident Ashley Fox announced plans to seek the nomination on March 23.
Fox, a community outreach coordinator with a Waterloo Region provider of home care for seniors was one of three contenders for the nomination.
However Perth-Wellington Liberal Association president Brendan Knight told the Community News the other candidates have withdrawn.
Knight said he anticipates an acclamation to be declared on or before April 13, when a virtual candidate presentation event has been scheduled by the riding association.
