Grand opening – An official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Opti-Mrs playground in Arthur on June 25. Accompanied by five children who attended the opening, from left, are: Arthur Opti-Mrs Club president Shawna Lougheed, Amanda Roelofsen, Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox, Crystal VanGerven, Wendy Vroenhoven and councillor Dan Yake. Una, Maria and Luka Milkovic enjoyed their ice cream by the playground. The event included a free family and public swim, followed by free ice cream sponsored by the Arthur Opti-Mrs Club. Bubbles were also available for the taking. The park initially reopened to the public in June of 2021 after undergoing $120,000 worth of upgrades.
