Art Gallery of Guelph hosts Artist Talks

GUELPH – The Art Gallery of Guelph (AGG) is slated to host two, free and upcoming Artist Talks.

On Oct. 23 at 12pm guests can join a noon hour artist talk with local artist Keana Gauvin.

Gauvin will speak about how the Nerikomi Process influences her work – a Japanese technique that combines multiple colours of clay to create marbling and patterned effects.

On Nov. 25 at 12pm another artist talk will take place with Peter Hohenadel.

Guelph-based collector Hohenadel will share his experiences and images from over 30 years of buying and selling Canadian art. “Every artwork has a story and many stories will be shared,” officials state. “Even though his wall space is limited – and a rented locker is full, Hohenadel’s passion for collecting has not dimmed.”

Guests will be able to take a tour through his collection and adventures in art.

Both events will be held in person at the AGG’s lecture room located at 358 Gordon St.,  Guelph.

Lots of seating will be available and both events are organized by the AGG volunteer association.
