]The annual Sunshine Bazaar and luncheon was held on June 2 at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Harriston.

Volunteers served beef pot pies and chicken pot pies with garden salad and generous slices of lemon cake to those gathered outside on the patio.

Indoors, people bought tickets to win a gift from the toonie table that held 126 items of jewelry, books, dish sets, cups and saucers, purses, gift cards, novelty items, a fruit basket and lawn chairs. They could also stop at the Fondue and Scentsy display.

Five items in the draw were won by Angela Hollen – neck pillow; Paul McKnight – knife set; Eleanor Askins – breeze art; Susan Zaryski – breeze art; and Donna Kieswetter – Caressant Care back pack.

Activities co-ordinator Audrey Domm and assistant Jaylene Roswell appreciate all the help and participation from the volunteers, staff, residents and their family.

All proceeds from the event go to the residents committee.
