Annual summer reading club launches June 20
Alicia Gilstorf

Did you know that several libraries across Wellington County, including Arthur, Clifford, Harriston and Mount Forest, run Dungeons and Dragons campaigns?

Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a collaborative role-playing game where players can create unique characters and interact with a group of like-minded adventurers through a staff-guided story. Using dice rolls and your imagination, players can go on adventures to far off fantasy lands and battle legendary foes. D&D isn’t just fun to play; it’s also an outlet for creativity that promotes socialization and develops problem solving skills.

Wellington County Library offers a variety of clubs for different age groups at different times through the week. All you need to do is register for the club that best suits your needs, and staff will take care of the rest. New and experienced players are welcome!

Getting ready for summer? Set sail and explore the depths of vast oceans with us! Visit your local branch on Saturday, June 20 for the launch of our annual Summer Reading Club. Readers of all ages are welcome to participate, with chances to win grand prizes. Kids ages 0-12 can also earn collectible goodies for every book read.

Make the most of your summer vacation with special guest performers and engaging programmes, running from June 29 until Aug. 22.
