An absence of art

Dear Editor:

It is with real sadness that I read of the cancellation of this summer’s Elora Festival,  with a deep recognition of the planning and work that goes into such an undertaking and the joy it gives to so many.

Elora is immensely proud of  our music festival, one of the strongest elements which have put us on the artistic map across Canada. I regard it as the quintessential celebration of our summers, with its warmth and excellence and dedication.

To this I add the cancellation of the Insights Juried Art Exhibit and the Elora Plein Air Festival. We must impatiently wait another year, for their return.

To all the organizers, please know how your efforts are appreciated. Your unique voices will be missed.
