Alma woman wins $100,000 in Lotto 6/49 draw
WINNER – Andrea Burchat of Alma was a $100,000 winner in the Dec. 4 Lotto 6/49 draw. She matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order to claim the prize.
Not a regular lottery player, Burchat picked up this ticket while purchasing holiday tickets to give as gifts.
“I was at the store and gave my ticket to the clerk to check and she said, ‘Oh, you won big!’ I apologized to the man behind me for holding him up and he said, ‘No dear, don’t apologize, I am here to pick you up when you fall.’”
She went back out to her car and celebrated her win with her daughter, who was waiting.
“It was a crazy, wonderful, amazing, experience!” Burchat plans to put some of her winnings aside for a fun celebration and take her time to plan what to do with the rest.
