Allan Street project underway
CLIFFORD - Another round of construction in Clifford is underway. Allan Street East will be under construction from July 26 to October.
A letter delivered to residents in the impacted areas by Jeremy Gibson, site inspector for Triton Engineering Services Limited, states, “The street will be closed to through traffic during the construction period. Local access will also be interrupted during this period.”
Construction staff will be assisting with garbage and recycling to assure the bins are moved to a designated location for pick up Tuesday mornings.
Reeves Construction Ltd. of Mount Forest will be installing a new water main, new storm drains, new curbs and gutters, and new sidewalks.
The Clifford Rotary Celebration Square municipal parking lot will be spruced up to complete the street project.
On July 27, a surveyor took measurements and left pink stakes planted in the ground. On Wednesday, July 28, the traffic light signals were altered to cycle every 15 to 30 seconds. The southeast green light was also repaired as well.
