Agricultural society introduces new logo
DRAYTON – The Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society recently held a competition inviting local artists to create a new logo to help launch the organization into another year of activities, including the return of the fair - “Another Day in Fairadise” - to be held Aug. 5 to 7.
Winning designer Rebecca Mol received a $200 cheque for her original creation. President John Foster thanked all those who entered the contest.
“Rebecca’s logo was very colourful and appealing. We do want to thank everyone who sent in a design,” said Foster.
Other events not to be missed this year include the 50th Camping and Jamming Weekend at the fairgrounds Aug. 26 to 28, and the 2nd Fall Harvest Festival on Oct. 1.
