Above and beyond

Dear Editor:

We want to share a goodwill gesture by two employees at Mar-Span Home Hardware Building Centre in  Drayton.

On May 8 at 3:30pm a load of lumber was on route to be delivered to this location and while the truck was going around the roundabout on Wellington Road 8 the load shifted on the trailer and the driver was unable to continue due to safety concerns.

We wanted the load to be delivered to Mar-Span Home Hardware safely so we reached out to advise them of the situation and asked if they would be able to assist and without hesitation they said, ‘Yes,” and the load was corrected and safely delivered.

We want to say a very special thank-you to the team of employees because they went above and beyond to assist the driver.

We want to acknowledge Cindy and Lee as they demonstrated very positive behavior and professionalism when we called. Without their help this situation possibly could have ended very differently.

Thank you again to the team at Mar-Span Home Hardware.

Even through these difficult times, it was extremely pleasing to see such special people who will go above and beyond to help someone else.
