A new tractor is coming to Drayton
DRAYTON – A new commemorative tractor is making its way to the Drayton Farm Show as the annual tradition continues.
This year the show will feature a White 2-150 Silver Stripe Open Station Tractor model based on the high-horsepower 2WD row-crop tractor produced from 1975 to 1976 as part of the Field Boss series.
These tractors were powered by a 7.8 litre six-cylinder diesel engine producing about 150hp.
The model will be available for purchase for $130.
“For every event we’ve run, there has been a tractor to sort of pair with it,” show chair Chris Finneran told the Advertiser.
A limited number of around 40 models will be available at the show on April 8 and 9 at the Drayton PMD Arena.
“Typically over the years people have either the whole collection or large parts of it,” Finneran said.
Last year the show featured a Minneapolis Moline U, a line of tractors from the 1950s and 60s.
The tractor completely sold out last year, raising over $5,000 for the club’s future events and community betterment.
“It is a nice commemorative thing for those who either attend the show or exhibited,” Finneran said.
He also noted the model will have the current year embossed on the tractor.
