Dear Editor:

That Arthur 2nd Look, a thrift store located in downtown Arthur, received an Everyday Hero Award from the Upper Grand District School Board was the courtesy of a nomination by administration and the parents’ group of Arthur Public School.

Arthur 2nd Look seeks to assist local non-profit groups by contributing monetarily to their endeavours. Requests may be made to Box 424, 185 George St., Arthur, ON, N0G 1A0 stating how said monies would be utilized.

Please note that Arthur 2nd Look is run entirely by volunteers; gently used items are acceptable for re-sale at the above address.

We have been serving Arthur and area for six years and have contributed approximately $175,200 to aid non-profit groups within our community. New volunteers are always needed and you may apply to join our staff by completing a volunteer application form available at the store. We request good quality items for donation; please know that items too damaged for re-sale cost Arthur 2nd Look money to dispose of at the landfill site.

Looking forward to serving you. Our hours are Tuesday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm, and Saturday 9:30am to 2pm.

Executive/volunteers
