It will cost nearly $2,500 to bring Minto’s tradeshow display up to date.

Council agreed to spend that money after discussions at its economic development committee. Economic devel-opment officer Belinda Wick-Graham said the display needs to be redesigned to better reflect the municipality’s brand message.

With the International Plowing Match this year, and a more aggressive marketing campaign, she said it is a perfect time for an upgrade.

Esolutions Group, of Waterloo, provided a cost after a recommendation from several other economic development officers.

The work includes:

- Trade show panels: four panels, printed, laminated, backing, magnets and hangers, $1,100 plus tax.

- Booth design: creation of proofs, edits, client liaison, $1,080 plus taxes.

The committee discussed the idea of getting new panels printed again in 2009 so it could switch between panel sets for events, so the booth doesn’t become dated.
