Wade Lynch to join Patsy Cline tribute

Perennial audience favourite Wade Lynch is joining the Drayton Entertainment musical revue A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline.

Lynch will be taking on the role of WINC radio DJ Little Big Man, beginning Oct. 28 at the St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre.

Lynch’s history at the venue dates to 1998, where his performance as flamboyant hair salon owner Tony Whitcomb in the wacky whodunit Shear Madness sealed his status as one of the premiere comedic actors of Canadian stage.

He followed that auspicious Drayton Entertainment debut with turns in Suds in 1999 and the role of DJ Little Big Man in A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline in 2000.

“Wade Lynch is an incredibly gifted performer, and promises to bring lots of laughs as he guides audiences through Patsy Cline’s discography,” says Alex Mustakas, artistic director of Drayton Entertainment.

Lynch’s other Drayton Entertainment credits include Buddy in The Buddy Holly Story and Sancho in Man of La Mancha.

In addition to directing A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, Lynch directed Look, No Hans, which appeared on multiple Drayton Entertainment stages this past summer.

A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline is onstage at the St. Jacobs Schoolhouse Theatre now through Dec. 21.
