Vintage snowmobile rally Jan. 26

The Fergus Elora Belwood Snowmobile Club is hosting the ninth annual Lake Belwood vintage snowmobile rally.
The event continues to grow each year and is a must stop on the vintage snowmobile show circuit.
It will be held at the Shand Dam Park on Jan. 26, with registration starting at  9:30am.
This year, the event has been chosen as the official trail ride celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Antique and Classic Snowmobile Club of Canada.
“Antique snowmobiles are classified as 1980 or older sleds,” explained event organizer Hal Armstrong. “This event has become popular as we have an agreement with the GRCA to allow the collectors to bring their sleds and display and ride them on park property.”
There is no registration fee. Participants just have to pay the GRCA parking fee and can bring as many sleds as they like.
“We get sleds in showroom condition, and machines that have not been restored,” Armstrong said.
The show runs all day. There will be hot food available at noon for participants and visitors. It is a great day to see old snowmobiles from 30 years ago in operation. For more information contact, Armstrong at 519-843-4420.
