Twirlers compete in St. Mary”™s competition

The Superstars Baton Club competed in St. Mary’s in the annual competition on April 18.  Approximately 75 athletes from St. Mary’s, Hamilton, Arthur, Fergus, Walkerton Thamesford, Stratford and Kitchener gathered for the day-long competition. The teams Little Cupids, Cat in the Hat, Ting Tang, I Want Candy, Shake Your Groove and Conga won for their performance and the team Moulin Rouge took a second for their performance.

Individual results:

Brooklynn Bokor, 9, of Arthur was first in solo.

Mackenzie Fraser, 8, of Arthur was first Best Appearing, Basic March, second in Solo and third in the Basic Skills Pageant.

Madisyn Gibbard, 12 of Kitchener was first in solo.

Alyssa George, 12 of Fergus was first in Solo, 2Baton and second in X-Strut.

Hayleigh Homer, 12, of Fergus was first in Dress Model, Basic March, X-Strut, Solo and third in 2Baton.  

Josie Howitt, 11, of Arthur was second in solo

Morgan Hutchinson, 7, of Arthur was third in Solo.

Skylar Irwin, 13, of Arthurwas was first in Basic March and Solo.

Paige Johnston, 8, of Arthur was first in Dress Model, X-Strut and Solo and third in Basic March.

Shayla Logel, 10, of Elora was first in Best Appearing, and Basic March, second in Solo and she won the 9-11 Basic Skills Pageant.

Chelsea McFadden, 8, of Fergus was third Basic March.

Elsie Post, 10, of Arthur was first in Basic March, X-Strut, Solo and 2Baton.

Kylee Pringle, 7, of Fergus was first in solo.

Lauren Robb, 15, of Fergus was first in X-Strut, Solo and 2Baton.

Jadya Saunders, 6, of Fergus was first in Solo.

Lainey Saunders, 8, of Fergus was second in Solo.

Kaitlyn Wagg, 13, of Arthur was first in Solo.

Makenzie Worton, 13, of Fergus was first in X-Strut, second in 2Baton and third in Solo.

Duet team of George/Worton placed first, duet team of Herriot/Ireland placed second and duet team of Homer/Irwin placed third.

Those interested can attend the year-end showcase on May 24 at 1pm at Arthur Public School.
