The splash pad was also a big hit as children gathered to have fun in the sun. Running through the water arches was a fun activity for sever splash pad players. A steel and drum band was accompanied by dancers to bring music to those passing through the food trucks and splash pad. Many activities were available at the event, including a large bubble blower. Children stood in an anticipation waiting to pop the next round of bubbles. The event also included a dog show, presented by the Ultimutts featuring Melissa Millet’s Hollywood Stars which included a 15-week-old Boston terrier. The township presented the Canadian Dachshund Association (Ontario) with a cheque for $720 which was raised from the entry fee funds for the event’s Weiner Dog Dash. A rock climbing wall, courtesy of Guelph Grotto, was one of the many activities offered at this year’s event. New to the event was a Ferris wheel, sponsored by Cory Young Insurance Group Inc., which was a big hit amongst the crowd, drawing in long lines with children and families excited to take a spin.
