Township hosts agricultural and business showcases in March

It’s a good time to be promoting Wellington North.

The township, in partnership with the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation, OMAFRA, TD Canada Trust and the Arthur and Mount Forest Chambers of Commerce will be holding two showcases to promote local businesses.

Both showcases are free to the public. The intent of both events is to provide local businesses with an opportunity to showcase their products and services to the local public and the business community.

On March 23, Wellington North will host an Agricultural Showcase at the Arthur and Area Community Centre from 1pm to 8pm.

The following week, on March 30, the show heads north for the Business and Industry Showcase at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex from 1pm to 8pm.

In addition, there will be trade shows to provide an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their products and services.

Organizers also plan to offer hour long seminars with experts on a wide variety of topics.

During the showcase there will be a Taste of Wellington North networking reception from 4pm to 8pm.

The event will host a sample-fest of tastes and treats all grown, produced or prepared in Wellington North.

Samples will include specialty cheeses, dairy products, artisan breads and spreads, locally raised meat products, baked goods, and of course … butter tarts.

While the event is free to the public, cash donations to the local food banks is encouraged.
