Town of Erin closing all municipal facilities on March 17

ERIN – All municipal facilities here, including town hall and recreational facilities, will be closed as of March 17 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a March 16 press release, Town of Erin officials also announced the the cancellation of the council meeting on March 17, as well as all committee meetings between March 17 and April 6.

“The Town of Erin is committed to the health and safety of its employees and the community,” states the press release.

“We are continuing to closely monitor the evolving COVID-19 situations and making necessary decisions to reduce the spread of the virus and protect the public.”

Officials say they made the most recent decision to close town facilities due to “growing health concerns, and out of an abundance of caution.”

The town will continue to operate municipal services as usual, officials add.
