Three suspects, two break-ins

ERIN – Police are looking for help to identify three suspects responsible for two break-ins here last week.

On Oct. 17 at about 3:30am Wellington County OPP officers responded to an alarm call at a gas station on Main Street in the village of Erin. Police say suspects smashed the glass door of the gas station and unsuccessfully tried to break into a cigarette cabinet.

About 20 minutes later, officers responded to a second alarm call at a car wash on nearby Erin Park Drive. Police believe the same suspects broke into the business and stole a set of keys and “a quantity of currency.”

Police officials say the break-ins involved at least three suspects who had their faces covered and were wearing gloves. The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model red Sienna with tape on the front windshield.
