Things are happening at Elora Centre for the Arts

ELORA – Along with summer camps, things are starting to happen at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

– Aug. 19, 6pm to 8pm – Artists’ reception. Meet Janice Mason Steeves and Pearl Van Geest as they talk about their exhibition, Earth Poems: Resonance, Rhythms and Reflections.

– Aug. 20 to 22 – Mini Riverfest on the grounds of the art centre. Art centre gallery and artisan shop will have extended hours on this weekend.

– Sept. 11 and 12, 9am to 5pm – Two-day knife-making workshop. The Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association is hosting the demonstration with Forged Link of Elmwood. Cost is $85.

– The Elora Fergus Studio Tour, where local artists invite the public into their studios, runs over two weekends in the fall and samples from each of the artists will be featured in the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Opening reception in the art centre is on Sept. 16 from 7pm to 9pm. All the art is for sale.
