Theatre troupe presents first show of season

The Second Time Around by Henry Denker, directed by Gail Wareing-Tonizzo is the first play by the Elmira Theatre Company’s 2009-10 season.

An unexpected romance engages widowed seniors in their golden years. They decide to introduce each other to their adult children, but they are met with a wall of resistance and disapproval – even though the children’s own marriages are anything but perfect, they don’t hesitate to give relationship advice to their parents.

This comedy is designed to appeal to all ages.

It runs Sept. 11 through 20 and all performances are at the Elmira Theatre, 76 Howard Avenue in Elmira. Tickets are $18 each and are available through the Centre in the Square box office.

Subscriptions including all four shows this season are still available for as little as $60.

Doors open at 7:30pm with the show starting at 8pm.
