The Grove Wellington Guelph holding open houses for parents and guardians at each of its sites

GUELPH — The Grove Wellington Guelph is inviting parents and caregivers to come to an Open House event so that they can see the spaces where their youth are spending time.

The Grove Wellington Guelph is a “one-stop-shop” for youth aged 12 to 26 designed to meet a wide range of needs including mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing and other community and social services.

The Grove’s doors are open to youth whether they are looking for wellbeing services or if they are simply looking for a safe place to hang out.

This open house will allow parents to view The Grove space and ask questions about the programming that is offered.

The event will also inform parents of the Family Engagement Sessions that will be running once a month to teach parents and caregivers how to become further involved in their child’s needs.

As parents or caregivers, it is essential that they take part in their youths’ mental health and wellbeing.

The Open House Event will run from 6 to 8pm and will be hosted at each Grove site on separate days:

– Oct. 3 at the Fergus site at the Skyline Community Hub, 900 Tower St. S. in Fergus;

– Oct. 4 at the Palmerston site right next to Norwell District High School at 390 Main St. E., Palmerston;

– Oct. 5 at the Erin site at the Main Place Youth Centre, 10 Thompson Cres., Erin;

– Oct.  6 at the University of Guelph site, off Smith Lane near OVC building, 50 College Ave. W., Guelph.
