The Easter Bunny arrived at the Strathcona Long Term Care Home, thanks to staff

Easter visitor – With Ontario under a province-wide shutdown order over the Easter long weekend (since upgraded to a stay-at-home order) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, staff at Strathcona Long Term Care Home in Mount Forest arranged for some seasonal fun for residents, including a visit from the Easter Bunny on April 11. Other activities at the facility included an Easter egg hunt, homemade Easter bread, Good Friday church services, Easter trivia, and arts and crafts.

Strathcona officials are also thanking Frey’s Communication for donating an iPad to the home.

“These days we use many iPads to connect with residents’ families through a variety of media,” said director of therapeutic recreation Sheryl McTavish. “By giving our families this … it allows them to stay connected with their loved ones in a safe manner in the comfort of their home.”
