Talk to me! telephone exhibit opens at museum

ABOYNE – A new exhibit at Wellington County Museum and Archives, Talk to Me! is now open featuring the telephone collection of Paul Axman of Guelph-Eramosa Township.

“The telephone, for better or worse, is one of the most defining inventions over the last 140 years,” says Axman. “My hope is that my collection will show people the evolution of the telephone from crank to touchtone; giving people pause to reflect on just how much telephones have impacted our lives today.”

Open until Jan. 9, 2022, Talk to Me! will also have a variety of online programming throughout the year including a Telephone Talks online series and Telephone Take Away craft videos which launch on the museum website this March! (www.wellington.ca/museum).

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora.
