Roads superintendent “˜no longer employed”™ by Town of Erin

Roads superintendent Larry Van Wyck “is no longer employed by the town,” Erin Mayor Allan Alls announced on Aug. 24.

Alls would not comment on further details, but did confirm Van Wyck’s status was the topic of discussion at a closed meeting on Aug. 21.

“I don’t want to say any more than what I’ve said,” Alls said.

“We wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

Van Wyck, who was hired as roads superintendent in 2006, did not provide any details about his departure.

“I don’t care to comment,” he told the Advertiser.

Roads foreman David Knight will fill in for Van Wyck for now, Alls said.
