Puslinch man charged with sexually assaulting Cambridge girl

PUSLINCH – A Puslinch man has been charged with sexually assaulting a Cambridge girl.

On Jan.24, Wellington County OPP responded to a report from a neighbouring police force about an alleged assault.

Police say a girl from Cambridge was sexually assaulted at a residence on Townline Road in Puslinch.

A 44-year-old Puslinch man was charged with sexual assault on a person under 16, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching on a person under 16.

He is to appear in Guelph court on March 3.

“This case is considered isolated as the perpetrator was known to the victim,” police stated in a press release, adding the accused will not be identified in order to protect the identity of the victim.
