Puslinch has reopened outdoor sports facilities, fields

ABERFOYLE – Puslinch Township has now reopened its outdoor sports facilities and multi-use fields, including baseball diamonds and soccer fields.

The May 21 announcement comes six days after the municipality reopened its parks, trails and greenspaces for public use.

“We are doing our best to adapt how we conduct business and serve our community, while protecting the safety of our staff and residents,” states the May 21 press release.

Township officials say anyone using outdoor facilities must still adhere to physical distancing requirements – or the facilities may be closed again.

“Individuals using these facilities, except for members of the same household, are required to maintain physical distance of at least two metres or six feet,” the release states.

“In accordance with provincial directives, gatherings or events of more than five people are not permitted.”

While outdoor spaces are open, all washrooms and change rooms are still closed.

Puslinch playgrounds all other township facilities and buildings remain closed.
