Puslinch extends facility closures to April 30

ABERFOYLE – Puslinch Township has decided to extend the closure of municipal facilities until at least April 30.

“The COVID-19 situation continues to change rapidly, and as a township, we are doing our best to adapt how we conduct business and serve our community, while protecting the safety of our staff and residents,” states a March 30 press release announcing the extended closures.

The closures include all township facilities and buildings, as well as outdoor play structures.

Mapleton Township made a similar announcement the same day.

Noting Puslinch Township is “working closely with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health,” officials say they will reevaluate the closures near the end of April.

Trails and open spaces in Puslinch parks remain open, though officials stress residents should continue to distance themselves from others while using these spaces.

Also until April 30, township staff will continue to be available to assist and service residents by electronic means only for. Business can be conducted online by email at services@puslinch.ca or admin@puslinch.ca or by calling 519-763-1226 and leaving a detailed message.

Appointments with building officials can be booked or cancelled by emailing services@puslinch.ca.

Burn permits and dog tags can be purchased online at www.puslinch.ca. Plus, there is a secure 24/7 mail drop box at the municipal office on Wellington Road 34.

Officials say taxes can be paid through financial institutions via internet or telephone banking.

“The township intends to make every effort possible to uphold a strong level of customer service during this time,” states the release.

“This includes continuity of essential services such as fire and road maintenance on a priority basis to support our community.
