Police seek help to locate 19 puppies stolen from local farm

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Police are looking for help to locate 19 puppies stolen from a barn here on Friday.

Wellington County OPP officers responded to the theft at a rural property on Sideroad 11 in former Pilkington Township on Dec. 13 at about 2:50pm.

Police say 19 puppies were taken from the owner’s barn sometime between 8:30am and 1:45pm while the owner was running errands.

The stolen puppies, which are about 10-weeks-old, include three red/apricot golden doodles, four golden doodles and 12 black lab/shepherd/doodle mixes.

“The complainant posted an ad on Kijiji and had received several inquiries regarding the puppies,” police stated in a press release.

Police are asking anyone with information that might help locate the dogs, including anything suspicious seen on social media, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
