Police beat OPP: Close to 40 crashes after first snowfall

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Following the first significant snowfall this season on Nov. 11, local OPP officers responded to 37 vehicle collisions across the county.

“Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt,” police stated in a press release.

“This response to winter driving conditions should remind us that snow covered roads can limit drivers’ abilities.”

Police are reminding drivers to slow down, clear ice and snow from vehicles, ensure vehicles are in good working order and to never drive while intoxicated.
