Police beat: Break-in charges

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Feb. 28 at about 2pm Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a break-in at a building on the property of the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.

Police say three suspects broke into a building and caused extensive property damage. They were arrested at the scene.

A 16-year-old and two 15-year-old youths from Guelph were charged with:

– break and enter;

– mischief (destroy or damage property); and

– possession of break-in instruments.

The 16-year-old was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon.

The youths will appear in court at a later date.
