Jerry Wymer of Fergus, Ontario passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Jerry was 80 years old. Born February 17, 1940 into the village of Den Ham, The Netherlands. He is survived by his dear wife Anneke Wymer; daughters, Monica Wymer of Waterdown, and Tanya Wymer and her husband Stephen of Boston, Massachusetts. Also survived by his brother John (Anne) Wymer of Ancaster. His in-laws Rianne (Jan) Hilkemeijer and Gerard (Hetty) deWilde of the Netherlands. And adored by many nieces and nephews. Jerry and Anneke married in 1970 and marked their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Shortly after moving to Canada with his parents in 1953 he started work in Hamilton as a carpenter, eventually having his own construction business until he decided to take up chicken farming in Fergus at the age of 40. He retired from farming in 1997. A Private Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus, Ontario. Jerry was laid to rest at the McKee Cemetery, near Belwood, Ontario.
