It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of June Elaine Weiler (nee Hauss), a woman of great faith, love and devotion to family. Surrounded by her best friend and loving husband of 69 years John (Jack) Weiler and family, she peacefully went home to our heavenly Father on June 12, 2025, the evening before her 91st Birthday. June is the beloved mother of six children; Rick Weiler (Pauline), Bruce Weiler (Caroline), Wendy Currie, John Weiler (Carol), Laurie Steele (Garry) and Kim Dyack (Henry). Loving Grandma to ten grandchildren; Jaime Lynn (Adam) Matthew, Lucas (Lyne), Graeme (Hillary), Erika (Joe), Kelsey (Scott), Michael, Nathan (Kaitlyn), Kandis (Andrew) and Arianne (Trevor). Loving Great-Grandma (Ma) to seven great grandchildren; Gabriella, Adriana, Hudson, Kolton, Aubrey, Winston and Jude. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Maryanne Simon, Helen McMahon (Leo †), Elizabeth Vettor (Dino †), Don Hauss (Anne), and Sandy Zinger (Bobby †), her brother-in-law Mike Weiler (Marlene †), many nieces, nephews and family friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents George and Alma Hauss, her in-laws Alfred and Bernice Weiler and her siblings Evelyn (Effie) Seifried, Margaret (Peggy) Harvey (survived by Doug), Larry Hauss and her daughter-in-law Debby Weiler. Her loving, hard-working hands were always busy, whether nurturing her family, tending to her manicured gardens, or making her award winning, blue-ribbon baked goods. Mom’s beautiful personality shone best when she would gather all to her table for food and conversation. Many stories and laughs would be exchanged as mom’s gift to share stories of past and present were second to none. The very wise and ultimate advice giver, her wisdom was known well by all family members who would call upon her whenever a tough question, situation, stain or a cooking failure arose. “We better call and ask Grandma”, was a common phrase in the homes of all her children and grandchildren. We will hold her dearly, with a void forever in our hearts until we meet her and our other loved ones again in Heaven. The family will receive family and friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph ON, on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph ON. A reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oustic at 2:30pm. A special thanks to the wonderful GGH Doctors and 4 East Nursing team for their loving and compassionate care for our mom. To the incredible, Dr. Graham, and all the amazing staff and volunteers of Hospice Wellington, thank you all for making mom’s journey home to our Lord and Saviour dignified and peaceful. The care and compassion and the gift you gave us to be with mom and spend time together as a family is priceless. We are eternally grateful to you all. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family. Donation cards are available at the funeral home or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
